Patrick Mahomes is often considered one of the nicest guys in the NFL. Over time, he developed great chemistry with Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and his family.

The star coach and the gorgeous quarterback are so close that when Mahomes became a father, Andy didn’t hesitate to teach him how to change diapers.

In fact, in 2019-20 when the team won the Lombardi Trophy, Mahomes was helped by not one but two Reids, Andy and Britt.

While Andy continues to serve the Chiefs as head coach, his son Britt Reid’s association with the team ended in 2020. Britt was involved with the Chiefs coaching staff for a few years, but his off-pitch shenanigans really pushed the franchise to look beyond. him.

Andy Reid’s son Britt was involved in a car crash that seriously injured a little girl

Even before beginning her stint with the Chiefs, Britt had a run-in with the law. In 2007, he was sentenced to 8 to 23 months in prison alongside his brother Garrett for allegedly running a drug store from their residence.

However, what he did in 2021 really shook everyone who heard about it. Britt rammed her van into a stationary car, seriously injuring a 5-year-old child.

Christened Ariel Miller, the baby girl suffered severe head trauma that left her in a coma for two weeks. Even when she woke up, Ariel was unable to recognize her own mother.

She didn’t know who I was, so while I was trying to touch my baby, like, “Hey, baby,” she was, you know, walking away. And… she didn’t recognize me“, said the mother of Ariel, reported by ABC News.

It turns out that Britt accepted that he had had a few drinks and was on a prescribed medication called Adderall when the accident happened. The Chiefs have actually come up with a medical payment plan for Ariel which, thankfully, is getting better every day.

As for Britt, her sentence will be handed down in October. According to some information, he can be imprisoned for a maximum of 4 years. After the horrific accident, Mahomes had extended his prayers for the family of the little one who had to go through unbearable pain and agony.
